1. Tatapan Mata
Seseorang yang berbohong tidak akan melihat mata anda, pembohong akan berusaha sekuat mungkin untuk tidak menatap anda.

2. Gerakan Tangan
Gerakan tangan seseorang yang berbohong akan tidak beraturan. Bahkan gerakan tangan akan terlihat seperti robot. Seseorang yang sering menyentuh hidung, tenggorokan, mulut dan menggaruk dibelakang telinga saat melakukan pembicaraan memiliki kemungkinan yang besar untuk berkata bohong.

3. Ekspresi Wajah

Ekspresi wajah seseorang yang berbohong cenderung memiliki gap waktu antara apa yang dibicarakan dengan ekspresi wajahnya, Sebagai contoh “Saya sangat bersimpati atas apa yang terjadi dengan anda” terdiam sebentar lalu ekspresi wajah sedih. Hal ini karena kejujuran bersifat reflex, tetapi kebohongan cenderung berencana, karena itu kita akan melihat gap waktu antara pikiran dan gerakan tubuh.

4. Gerakan Mulut
Seseorang yang berbohong memiliki kecenderungan memperlihatkan emosi hanya sebatas disekitar mulut. Gerakan-gerakan tubuh akan terlihat minim dalam mengekspresikan emosi.

5. Gerakan Tubuh
Tubuh akan secara refleks menjauh dari lawan bicara ketika kita berbohong, disamping itu seseorang yang berbohong akan menghindari kontak tubuh dengan lawan bicaranya hal ini terjadi karena rasa bersalah yang timbul karena kebohongan terhadap lawan bicara.

6. Pembicaraan
Seseorang yang mengungkapkan kebohongan sangat tidak menyukai kebisuan, ia akan terus berusaha meyakinkan lawan bicara dengan kebohongan. Sekali ia berbohong maka semua pertanyaan yang diajukan (walau terkadang diluar logika) akan mampu dijawabnya. Hal ini berhubungan dengan pepatah “sekali anda berbohong, maka anda akan terus berbohong untuk menutupi kebohongan-kebohongan anda”.

Disamping itu pembohong memiliki kecenderungan untuk mengindahkan peranan orang ketiga, seseorang yang jujur dapat dengan santai berkata, “anda boleh tidak percaya, tetapi mereka melihat kenyataan yang sesungguhnya”. Hal ini terjadi karena seseorang yang berbohong tidak ingin melibatkan pihak ketiga dalam rencananya.

7. Impresi
Nafas akan terlihat lebih berat, hal ini karena seseorang yang berbohong berusaha untuk menenangkan diri. Disamping itu ia akan mencoba membersihkan tenggorokannya dengan berdehem ini dikarenakan jika seseorang yang nervous akan secara tidak sadar menelan ludah, karena tingkat nervous yang tinggi, maka ia akan kesulitan menelan ludah.

8. Pengalihan Materi Pembicaraan

Secara teori ilmiah menjelaskan bahwa: apabila kita hembus napas pada minuman, kita akan mengeluarkan CO2 yaitu carbon dioxide, yang apabila bercampur dengan air H20, akan menjadi H2CO3, yaitu sama dengan cuka, menyebabkan minuman itu menjadi acidic. dan saya ingat juga bahwa Rasulullah shalallahu 'alaihi wa sallam menyuruh kita ketika minum seteguk demi seteguk, jangan langsung satu gelas sambil bernapas di dalam gelas, hal ini juga dilarang, ternyata saya baru tahu sekarang hikmahnya, bahwa ketika kita minum langsung banyak, maka ada kemungkinan kita akan bernapas di dalam gelas, yang akan menyebabkan reaksi kimia seperti di atas.

alasan kedua adalah pada saat manusia mengeluarkan udara hasil pernafasan serta mengeluarkan udara saat meniup, maka tidak hanya mengeluarkan gas hasil pernafasan saja. Mulut juga akan mengeluarkan uap air dan berbagai partikel yang ada dari dalam rongga mulut. Paling mudah dideteksi adalah nafas atau bau mulut juga sering tercium. Bau mulut ini mengindikasikan ada partikel yang juga dikeluarkan dari mulut. Partikel ini dapat berasal dari sisa makanan yang tertinggal di sela-sela gigi, selain itu dapat juga berupa mikroorganisme yang hidup di rongga mulut. Mikroorganisme ini kadang bersifat merugikan dan bersifat sebagai pathogen. Hal inilah yang harus dihindari supaya jangan terbawa sehingga karena berupa partikel padatan akan dapat menempel dan mengkontaminasi pada makanan yang ditiup.
